Skeleton Plaque: Abbot

Wooden piece featuring the skeleton in The Abbot from Hans Holbein the Younger's woodblock series, The Dance of Death (or Danse Macabre) from 1523 - 1525. Out of these Germanic Renaissance prints, 34 of them depict Death intruding the lives of everyday people to take them to the grave, whether  they are happy about it or not. 

Details:

• 7 x 10 in in size, and 1 in thick
• bottom lip of the wood is adorned with suede to compliment the varnished wood
• sawtooth picture hanger pre-attached on the back if you choose to hang it
• your package includes an artist card that describes the history of the work of art you received
