Designed by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha, this woman was originally stained glass. She was featured on the exterior façade of Boutique Fouquet, a jewelry shop in Paris, France. While Mucha (& others like him) definitely capitalized & commercialized the women who modeled for him as "unattainable objects..." this ended up being fine. The women models themselves used the degrading art depicting them to liberate themselves, to show their freedom to do what they want & to drive their own career. Good for them.
